Truth or Dare (German)

Step-by-step instructions for playing Truth or Dare YES, DADDY! Edition:

1. Game preparation:
Start by gathering a group of friends or participants. The game works best with three or more players.
Decide together which level (indicated by the red lines on each card) you want to play. Agree on your limits before the game begins.

Levels: you can shuffle the cards and play all levels at the same time (90 cards).
You can agree on a level and place only that level in the middle (30 cards each).
Or you can place separate stacks of levels 1, 2, and 3 in the middle and alternate. Either in turn or by rolling the dice to determine which level applies to the next player (simply keep rolling until you get either a 1, a 2, or a 3).

Decide together what punishment will be imposed if a player refuses to answer the question or fulfill the dare after it has been read out. For example, it could be that the player has to "buy their way out" by placing an agreed-upon amount of money in the middle, which is then divided among everyone else at the end. It could also be that they have to sit out a round and stand in the corner.
Now shuffle the cards thoroughly. Place the stack of cards face down in the middle.

2. Choose a starting player: Decide who starts the game. This can be done randomly, by drawing straws, or by any other method agreed upon by the group.

3. Start the game:
The starting player takes the top card from the deck, selects another player, and asks them, "Truth or Dare?" The selected player must then choose between honestly answering a truth question or completing a dare.

4. Truth:
If the selected player chooses "Truth," the starting player asks the truth question on the card, which the selected player must answer honestly.

5. Obligation:
If the selected player chooses "Duty," the starting player reads the challenge on the card, which the player must complete. Respect the boundaries you agreed upon before the game began. Accept the boundaries of your fellow players—even if they change during the game. A no is always a no. Everyone should have fun.

6. Turn laps:
After the selected player has completed their Truth or Dare, the next player in the group becomes the first player. They then select another player, take a new card from the deck, and then ask "Truth or Dare?" The game continues in this manner, with everyone ideally getting roughly the same number of turns.

7. Truth and Dare not fulfilled | Joker:
If the player refuses to answer the question or fulfill the dare after it has been read out, there is a "penalty"—depending on the rules established by the group. In this case, the starting player chooses a new player and draws a new card.

Joker: If you want, you can also decide before the game starts that each player receives a "joker" with which they can refuse to answer or fulfill the question or dare after the question or dare has been read out to them and pass it on to a player of their choice.

8. Continue:
The game continues until the players decide to stop or until a predetermined end point, such as a set number of rounds or a certain time limit.

9. Have fun and stay safe:
Remember to keep the game fun. Even if it's pushing boundaries, the agreed limits should always be respected. If someone—perhaps only during the game—feels uncomfortable or is no longer willing to participate, respect their boundaries and choose another option.

Truth or Dare

Step-by-Step Guide to Playing Truth or Dare YES, DADDY! Edition:

1. Game Setup:
Start by gathering a group of friends or participants. The game works best with three or more players.
Agree on the level you want to play (indicated by the red stripes on each card). Set clear boundaries before starting.

Levels: you can shuffle the cards and play all levels at once (90 cards).
You can agree on a single level and place only that one in the center (30 cards each).
Or, you can place separate stacks for levels 1, 2, and 3 in the center and alternate between them. Either take turns in order or roll a dice to determine which level applies for the next player (simply keep rolling until you get a 1, 2, or 3).

Decide on a “penalty” for anyone who refuses to answer a question or complete a dare after it's read. For example, a player might have to “buy out” by placing an agreed amount of money in a pot, which will be split among the others at the end. Alternatively, he might have to skip a round and stand in a designated spot.
Shuffle the cards well. Place the deck face down (text side down) in the center.

2. Choose a Starting Player:
Decide who will start. This can be done randomly, such as by drawing straws, or using any method the group agrees on.

3. Start the Game:
The starting player picks the top card from the deck, selects another player, and asks, “Truth or Dare?” The chosen player must then decide between answering a truth question honestly or completing a dare.

4. Truth:
If the chosen player picks “Truth,” the starting player reads the truth question on the card, and the chosen player must answer honestly.

5. Dare:
If the chosen player picks “Dare,” the starting player reads the challenge on the card, which the player must complete. Respect the boundaries agreed upon before starting. Accept others' limits - even if tho's limits change during the game. A “no” is always a “no.” The game should be fun for everyone.

6. Rotate Turns:
After the chosen player completes their truth or dare, the next player in the group becomes the starting player. He then chooses a new player, draws a new card, and asks, “Truth or Dare?” The game continues like this, ideally giving everyone roughly equal turns.

7. Unfulfilled Truth or Dare | Joker:
If a player refuses to answer or complete the dare after it's read, a “penalty” is applied based on the group's rules. The starting player then chooses a new player and draws a new card.

Joker: If you wish, you can agree before the game starts that each player receives a “Joker.” This allows them -after a truth or dare has been read out -to refuse to answer or perform the task and instead pass it on to a player of their choice.

8. Keep Going:
Play continues until the players decide to stop or reach a predetermined endpoint, such as a set number of rounds or a specific time limit.

9. Have Fun and Stay Safe:
Remember to keep the game enjoyable. Even if the game pushes boundaries, the agreed limits should always be respected. If anyone feels uncomfortable or unwilling to continue at any point, respect their limits and choose an alternative - or stop.
